Santa Clara County Housing Programs (Prevention, Shelter and Rehousing)

HomeFirst provides housing support across Santa Clara County: prevention programs with temporary financial assistance and case management through the county-wide Homelessness Prevention System; rapid rehousing with short-term rental assistance and case management; outreach to people living outside; interim housing communities with 24/7 onsite support; emergency shelters including the region’s largest 230-bed shelter and seasonal shelters; permanent supportive housing for people experiencing chronic homelessness, especially older adults and people with disabilities; affordable apartment complexes for young adults and families who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness; and veteran programs including homelessness prevention, outreach, interim housing and rapid rehousing.
